Qualifications:
Active credentials and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Demonstrated experience in acute care, critical care, or general respiratory therapy settings Strong knowledge of current respiratory techniques, equipment, and procedures Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams and patients BLS and ACLS certifications preferred Ability to adapt to fast-paced clinical situations and changing patient needs
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and administer respiratory care treatments and interventions to patients of varying ages Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing Educate patients and their families on respiratory care plans and home-care instructions Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in medical records Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient care Respond promptly to emergencies and code situations as needed This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a real difference while gaining valuable experience in a supportive healthcare environment.
