Full Job Description Role:

Respiratory Therapist II responsible for administering medications, managing respiratory care, and providing patient-centered services in complex critical care settings.

Responsibilities include:

Performing patient assessments, verifying orders, and delivering aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and medical gases. Managing ventilators, including weaning and waveform interpretation, as well as airway management such as intubation and tracheostomy care. Conducting arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. Educating patients, families, and support systems; mentoring new staff and students; participating in procedures and diagnostic testing. Collaborating with healthcare team members for care planning and ensuring high-quality, safe, and evidence-based patient care. Promoting accurate documentation, medication safety, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. Supporting a positive team environment and fostering professional development.

Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy; relevant certifications including NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS, and ACLS are required. 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals.
