Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist - Local Accepted, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to diverse patient populations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work across various clinical settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care units, neonatal and pediatric units, and outpatient clinics. You will utilize your expertise in respiratory therapy, airway management, ventilator operation, and patient assessment to improve patient outcomes and support recovery. Responsibilities Provide advanced respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, ensuring safety and comfort during treatment. Manage ventilators and respiratory devices with precision, adjusting settings based on patient physiology and clinical needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, analyzing blood gases, and evaluating respiratory function to inform treatment plans. Perform airway management procedures such as intubation, extubation, suctioning, and airway clearance techniques in emergency and routine situations. Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts following established protocols like neonatal resuscitation procedures. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with hospital policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, pulmonologists, and emergency responders to deliver comprehensive care in critical and intensive care settings. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with local acceptance or equivalent certification. Proven experience in hospital environments such as
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), or trauma centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and respiratory equipment operation. Demonstrated proficiency in ventilator management, airway procedures, medication administration related to respiratory therapy, and emergency response techniques. Experience working with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) for accurate documentation. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively across diverse populations including neonates and geriatrics. Critical care experience in acute settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to patient care and team collaboration. Pay:
