Full Job Description Role:
Respiratory Therapist II, responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient care, documentation, and education, promoting a team-oriented environment. Perform ventilator management, airway management, aerosolized medication administration, and arterial blood gas analysis. Assess patient needs, collaborate with healthcare team members, and ensure safe, quality care aligned with evidence-based practices. Educate patients, mentor new staff, and participate in staff development and quality improvement initiatives. Assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostic testing as needed. Support a safe environment by promoting medication safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
Required certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
Preferred education:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; ability to establish effective working relationships.
Additional duties include:
supporting staff development, ensuring compliance with policies, and participating in performance improvement activities.
