Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for the Physicians Clinic in Council Bluffs, IA. In this role you would be responsible for the assessment of respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses, to ensure delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care diagnostic procedures as prescribed by the medical staff for pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform routine and advanced respiratory care procedures independently, including therapeutic modalities, pulmonary function testing (PFTs), and diagnostic testing within scope of practice. Assess patients, interpret physician orders, develop and update individualized care plans, and provide patient education on lung health, medications, and therapies. Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, procedures, and progress in the electronic medical record while maintaining current care plans. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to communicate patient status, test results, and coordinate timely, high-quality care. Support patient satisfaction by delivering compassionate, responsive care and ensuring continuity of respiratory services. Educate and mentor clinical staff on respiratory care procedures, provide technical oversight and training for PFT testing, and promote effective interdepartmental collaboration.

Salary:

Pay starts at $29.43 an hour and may increase based on work history/experience.

Job Requirements:

Associate of Science Degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care required. Bachelor of Science Degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care preferred. 3 to 6 months of on-the-job experience to gain knowledge of policies, procedures and routines required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required within 12 months of accepting the Advanced Practitioner position. For
