DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across the multi-disciplinary team settings.
• Openness to new approaches, methods or technology in the ever-changing healthcare setting
• Provide a positive customer experience by involvement and resolution of customer concerns
• Develops patient care plan using critical and analytical skills based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational and socioeconomic conditions that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Effectively apply technical knowledge to problem solve and act as a role model and resource person for other staff members
• Assist, in training & orienting of staff.
• Develop and revise policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate recordkeeping, records relevant to information in patient charts.
• Evaluate new equipment for the department.
• Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
• Act as a liaison with other Respiratory Therapy departments throughout area.
• Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, and other hazardous substances.
• Control materials, supplies, equipment, and procedures performed. Ensure optimal working conditions and cleanliness of equipment at all times. Ensure that regulations and standards are met and maintained.

• Flexibility in schedule; willing to work additional hours, take low census days or alternate shifts as needed
