What they do

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Associate Travel Program - Respiratory Therapy (Peds)
Schedule:
Multiple Shifts available | 36 hours per week Gross Rate up to $2,277 per week #ATP How you'll make an impact in this role Assess patients to develop and implement individualized care plans and monitor associated equipment. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and respond to emergency resuscitation codes. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively. Evaluate respiratory practices and medication administration based on patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on health conditions and community support resources. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need Minimum of 1 year pediactrics or NICU experience required. Life at
