A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides assessment, treatment, monitoring, and education for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions across a variety of care settings. Working collaboratively with the healthcare team, this role delivers safe, effective, and patient-centered respiratory care through diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, patient education, and management of respiratory equipment while promoting positive patient outcomes. Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
Requirements:
24 hours per week - Third Shift 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Sunday and Monday RCP, RRT or CRT Certification Certification of CPR, ACLS, and NRP must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
