A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

About This Position:
Night Shift:
0.9 Nights 7p - 730a Night Shift Pay Differential included Sign On Bonus of $30,000 to Eligible External Candidates Relocation Bonus of up to $10,000 available to Eligible External Candidates based on their location Weekend Requirement of Every 4th Weekend Participate in bedside rounds & be a patient advocate

Methodist Hospital This position exists to supports the department by being the exemplar resource in abilities, ownership, and maintaining the standards of service for their team members and other colleagues needing guidance in the area of Respiratory Care.
Requirements:
Requires current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state of Indiana. Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program. Requires RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential by the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care). Requires Healthcare Provider certification in BLS. Requires ACLS; PALS; and/or NRP certification according to your area of specialty. Must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Requires 2 years minimum experience in Respiratory Care. Outside of working with groundbreaking technologies and therapies, our Advanced Respiratory Therapists get the opportunity to grow their medical knowledge and skills.
