What they do

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Now hiring... Respiratory Therapist, Night Shift Full-time for Munster location
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, initiates and administers the full range of respiratory care modalities. This includes applying clinical assessments and diagnostic results of the care plan of the patient.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program and current Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner's License through the Indiana Health Professions Bureau. Must be an RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) through the NBRC and be current with all educational requirements for renewal and maintenance of credentials. Must maintain all educational requirements for renewal of license and maintenance of credentials. Must also possess current CPR certification in accordance with the American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers program.
