A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist! CRT/RRT! Full-time, 5:45p-6:00a, days vary, weekend/holiday rotation SOB Eligible for experienced Candidates (external applicants) Baptist Health Floyd, Respiratory Care Southern Indiana/ Louisville, Kentucky area The Respiratory Therapist engages in the treatment and prevention of cardiopulmonary disease, utilizing respiratory equipment and techniques as prescribed by a physician. The Respiratory Therapist is a resource professional specializing in state-of-the-art respiratory technology and patient care based on evidence based, outcomes driven, and scientific standards.

Certified and Registered Respiratory Therapists Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's Degree from an AMA Accredited Respiratory Program Current NBRC Credentials as CRT/RRT required Successful completion of the CRT or RRT exam from the NBRC Active Indiana State Respiratory Care Practitioner License BLS certification required, will provide training ACLS certification within 12 months of hire PALS certification within 12 months of hire NRP certification within 6 months of hire We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
