Norton Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our System Float team, supporting hospitals and care sites across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including assessments, oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and emergency response for diverse patient populations. You will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, document care in the EMR, and educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care. Responsibilities Provide respiratory assessments, treatments, and ventilator management for acute and chronic patients across system facilities Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance procedures Respond to respiratory emergencies, including codes and rapid response calls Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and noninvasive ventilation equipment Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record accurately and timely Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home-care equipment Float between hospitals and care sites within the Norton Healthcare system as staffing and patient needs require Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards for respiratory care practice Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and competency maintenance activities Required Skills Respiratory assessment and care planning Mechanical ventilation management Noninvasive ventilation (Bi
