Respiratory Therapist CRT/RRT- PRN, Nights Status:
PRN Shift:
Third Job Summary:
Demonstrates a solid knowledge and working proficiency in the skills of Respiratory Care practices, procedures and techniques and is responsible for the patients that are assigned to his/her care within the practices of Respiratory Care.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Requires successful completion of accredited program for Respiratory Care. NBRC Certification Required (CRT/RRT). Active Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner License Required. Basic Cardiac Life Support due within 90 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support due within 6 months of hire. What they do

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
