The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics, in various clinical environments such as Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. The Respiratory Therapist will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical assessments. Provide care for patients in emergency medicine situations, including trauma cases. Conduct assessments of patients' respiratory status, including vital signs and lung function tests. Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management and medication administration. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including clinics and operating rooms (OR). Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services. Requirements Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification as required by state regulations. Strong knowledge of human physiology, particularly related to respiratory function. Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred. Proficiency in medication administration related to respiratory therapy. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and procedures. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Previous experience in pediatrics is a plus, demonstrating versatility across patient populations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
