2 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment requiring adult ICU/critical care experience and RRT certification. Details Hospital respiratory therapy department caring for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients Night shift hours, with two possible shift times: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Will float between two facility locations, with shift times varying by location Patient ratio of 5 ventilator patients per therapist Every other weekend and holiday coverage required No on-call requirement Full-time, 13-week assignment Requirements RT or RCP license in state of employment required (if applicable) BLS certification required via

AHA ACLS

certification required via AHA Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC required Adult ICU experience required CRTs may be considered if they have critical care experience 1-3 years of experience preferred Additional Information Perform patient assessments and implement respiratory care plans under physician direction with minimal supervision Respond to emergency codes and manage airways including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning Deliver aerosolized drugs and manage ventilator setup and operation Manage airway support devices including BiPAP and CPAP Perform oxygen delivery device management and therapeutic monitoring Conduct chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis Maintain accurate and complete documentation Clean and stock equipment and supplies as needed May function as Shift Leader or Team Leader depending on experience level Advanced practice opportunities may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, and polysomnography Gray scrubs required as part of dress code Returning
