  • Respiratory Therapist under the direction of the Directory of Respiratory Services is the direct provider of patient care in acute, subacute, and chronic healthcare settings to adult, pediatric and neonatal population groups.
Respiratory Therapists will possess optimal skills in assessments of patients, delivery of care, and being proactive as an advocate for diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnoses lung and breathing disorders and recommends treatment methods. Interviews patients and performs chest physical exams to determine what kind of therapy is best for their condition. Consults with physicians to recommend a change in therapy, based on evaluation of the patient. Analyzes breath, tissue, and blood specimens to determine levels of oxygen and other gases. Manages ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own. Manages non-invasive and high flow devices for patients requiring oxygenation and ventilatory support. Responds to emergency situations and urgent calls for care. Educates patients and families about lung disease so they can maximize their quality of life. Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree in Respiratory Care

  • Preferred CPR (PALS)
  • Preferred NRP
