Your skills in airway management, ventilator operation, and patient assessment will help ensure optimal respiratory function and recovery. Duties Assess patients' respiratory status through detailed evaluation of vital signs, lung sounds, and medical history to develop personalized treatment plans. Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen delivery, aerosol treatments, and medication administration with precision and safety. Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory devices for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, ensuring optimal settings and functionality. Manage airway emergencies by performing airway management procedures such as intubation and suctioning during critical moments like cardiac arrest or trauma response. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), and surgical settings to coordinate patient care. Document all interventions accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with hospital protocols. Respond swiftly to acute care needs by participating in emergency response activities such as neonatal resuscitation procedures and cardiac arrest management. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent credential from a recognized certifying body. Strong knowledge of respiratory physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pulmonology principles. Hands-on experience operating medical equipment including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory devices. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while demonstrating excellent clinical judgment under pressure. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are highly preferred. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR) management systems for documentation and communication purposes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams across inpatient and outpatient settings.
