Administers respiratory treatments, manages airways and mechanical ventilation and monitors response to therapy. Collaborates with the care team to support respiratory outcomes. Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program: Required Hospital respiratory care experience: Preferred Licenses & Certifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential and state licensure: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Key Responsibilities Assess patients and implement respiratory care plans per physician orders. Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications and airway clearance treatments. Initiate, manage and wean mechanical ventilation and non-invasive support. Perform arterial blood gas sampling and diagnostic testing as ordered. Respond to Code Blue and rapid response events and assist with airway management.
