Travel ed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Baltimore, Maryland Hospital JobTravel ed Respiratory Therapist job in the Baltimore, Maryland area! Join a dynamic teaching hospital respiratory therapy team supporting adult critical care and NICU patients in a fast-paced acute care setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RRT who wants variety, teamwork, and hands-on experience across both adult and neonatal respiratory care.

$1,430 - $1,530

- Minimum 2 years of recent ed Respiratory Therapist experience, including adult critical care experience; NICU experience preferred
- At least 1 prior travel assignment completed
- Current BLS certification
- Current CRT certification
- Current Maryland state licensure
- ACLS preferred
- ED experience preferred
- Ability to work confidently in both adult and neonatal patient care environments
- Comfortable with ABG interpretation and arterial blood gas collection
- Experience with Cerner preferred/required as noted for charting
- Familiarity with Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U ventilatorsResponsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult, NICU, and other patient populations as assigned
- Perform airway management and suctioning procedures, including endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, nasal/oral airway placement, and tracheostomy care
- Support pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and ABG interpretation
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and umbilical blood gases as needed
- Set up and manage respiratory therapies such as nebulizers, HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, trach collar, and aerosol treatments
- Monitor ventilator function and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms
- Wean patients from mechanical ventilation when appropriate and collaborate with the care team on respiratory plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members
