Key Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed in Michigan Previous experience in acute or critical care preferred Proficient with ventilatory equipment (invasive & non-invasive) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Solid understanding of pulmonary function studies and chest physiotherapy Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Schedule/Hours:
Travel position with flexibility needed for varied shifts, including possible nights or weekends
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory care and patient transport per physician orders Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and home care upon discharge Administer prescribed medications and therapies using ventilators, oxygen, and aerosol devices Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, arterial punctures, and pulmonary studies Participate in procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care Operate, maintain, and assist in the repair of respiratory equipment Accurately document all patient interactions and treatment responses Effectively communicate with physicians and team members, ensuring thorough shift-to-shift reporting
