1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a rehabilitation hospital night shift position requiring 1+ years experience and Michigan state licensure. Details Rehabilitation hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit Night shift, 3x12 hour schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM 13-week contract assignment Uses Epic EMR system Locals accepted at the same rate Requirements Current RRT credential required, CRT not accepted BLS and NBRC national certification required Michigan state RRT license required in hand prior to consideration (license required if applicable) Minimum 1+ years of experience required ACLS and PALS certifications preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive respiratory care through patient assessment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and critical thinking Develop and follow patient-centered care plans aligned with physician and interdisciplinary team priorities Perform bronchodilator care, ventilator care, and pulmonary hygiene therapy Manage airway care including tracheostomy changes and sleep disorder screening Administer Bipap/Cpap therapy and appropriate oxygen and aerosol therapy Assist with discharge education and coordination Perform diagnostic procedures including EKGs, blood gas analysis, TCOM monitoring, overnight pulse ox studies, and oxygen desaturation studies to determine home oxygen needs
