What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

AM Experience:
24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. Travel experience is preferred. 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required for submission). Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. No current placement allowed at

Additional Details:
Unit Details:
- Independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing of the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations, and provides life support systems.
- Performs respiratory care evaluations and treatments per protocol.
- Delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
- Responds to rapid responses, arrest, and STAT situations, including maintaining artificial airways, respiration, and cardiac compressions.
- Sets up and maintains oxygen according to protocol.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 6 on, 8 off rotation
- Web through Mon.
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
14 days maximum time off 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
