A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Come join our Respiratory Therapists at St. Cloud Hospital in providing quality care from first breath to last breath and for every breath in between. As part of a diverse and dynamic team, you will deliver personalized and compassionate care in Central Minnesota. Our 489-bed hospital, equipped with a Level II trauma center and a Level III NICU, offers the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients, from premature infants to centenarians. At St. Cloud Hospital, Respiratory Therapists are integral to lifesaving response teams during patient emergencies, providing both inpatient and outpatient services. Nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River, our hospital is ranked in the top three in Minnesota and among the top 50 in the nation. Schedule:
Part
•time | 48 hours every two weeks Day Shift | 6:30 a.m.
•7 p.m. Every 3rd weekend | Every other holiday
Pay and Benefits:
Pay starting at $41.62 per hour, pay determined by experience Pay range: $38.79
•$58.19 per hour $6,000 hiring bonus or $7,500 student loan repayment and $5,000 in relocation assistance for eligible candidates! Part

Qualifications:
Graduate of a two or four year Respiratory Care Program (preferably through CoARC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) within two years of hire Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) in the State of MN or temporary RT permit Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy, can be obtained upon hire NICU/Pediatric specialists must be certified by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, can be obtained within unit Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) withhin 1.5 years of hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1.5 years of hire To be eligible for recruitment incentives you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full-time or part-time benefited position. Previous CentraCare/Carris employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire. Bonus amounts may differ based on full-time and part-time status.
Relocation assistance requirements:
Must accept a position that offers benefits. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from St. Cloud, Minnesota and relocate to within 30 miles of any of those locations any time before and no later than 120 days after you start work.
