1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a community hospital night shift role requiring 1+ year of specialty experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Details Community hospital setting within the Respiratory Therapy department Patient population includes adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric critical care cases Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30) Weekend rotation required every third weekend No on-call requirement May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital Epic/Excellian charting system preferred Requirements RRT credential required; license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required Community hospital experience required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Skilled in ventilator management, airway management, and suctioning techniques Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen therapy including HFNC Experience with medication delivery systems and administration (e.g. Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent) Ability to interpret ABGs and perform basic EKG interpretation Experience assisting in high-risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric airway procedures preferred 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Copy of certifications and license verification required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities may include lab draws, nasopharyngeal swabbing, and patient triage intake during night shifts Completion of pre-start modules required prior to assignment start Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift if previously employed as perm staff RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment Local candidates are not accepted unless applying for a radiology position; all other roles require candidates to live at least 100 miles from the facility First-time travelers will be considered for this position
