Centerpoint Medical Center, a prominent facility in the HCA Midwest Health system, seeks a dedicated PRN Pulmonary Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a range of therapeutic and diagnostic services to support the management of respiratory health. Working within our state-of-the-art hospital, you will collaborate directly with a team of healthcare professionals, including specialists in emergency care, cardiology, and surgery, to provide patient-centered respiratory care to individuals across all ages. You will play a critical role in the success of our respiratory services, adapting to diverse patient needs and supporting our mission to deliver top-tier, compassionate healthcare. Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy and emergent care as prescribed by physicians Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and spirometry Monitor and manage patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams Educate patients and their families on lung health and treatment plans Maintain patient records and document therapy outcomes Ensure the operation and cleaning of all respiratory therapy equipment Participate in clinical rounds with healthcare professionals Follow and promote hospital policies on health, safety, and operational standards Required Skills Proficiency in diagnostic procedures and respiratory care protocols Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic, changing environment Technical skills in the use of respiratory equipment
