Mercy is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you will perform assessments, administer treatments, manage ventilators, and monitor patient responses in collaboration with physicians and nurses. You will interpret diagnostic tests, document in the EMR, and educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and document findings in the EMRAdminister respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and aerosol medications Set up, manage, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases and related diagnostic tests Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams on care plans Respond to respiratory emergencies and perform CPR as needed Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, and equipment use Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice Support Mercy's mission and culture of compassionate, patient-centered care Required Skills Respiratory assessment Ventilator management Arterial blood gas analysis Oxygen therapy administration Nebulizer and aerosol therapy CPR and emergency response Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Infection control procedures Interdisciplinary collaboration
