Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory therapy techniques, anatomy, and emergency medicine to effectively assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions. Duties Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating vital signs and lung function. Provide emergency care for patients in critical situations, ensuring prompt intervention. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Educate patients and their families about respiratory health, treatment options, and home care strategies. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on clinical evaluations. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy practices. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, pulmonary function, and respiratory diseases. Experience in critical care settings preferred; familiarity with outpatient care is a plus. Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques and emergency medicine protocols. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, including interpreting vital signs. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Commitment to providing compassionate care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
