1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience and Trauma Level I experience preferred for a day shift position in adult critical care and emergency department settings. Details Work in adult critical care and emergency department settings Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment length Uses Epic charting system Travel pairs accepted, though same shift is not guaranteed Requirements Current RRT certification required; CRT not accepted BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience required Trauma Level I experience preferred Epic charting experience required; recent experience within the last 12 months strongly preferred Clinicians without recent Epic experience will complete on-site training and pass a test-out prior to scheduling Non-AHA certifications accepted, including Instructor, Provider, and RQI License required if applicable; pending license acceptable at submission but must be in-hand prior to start Skilled in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care Experience with oxygen therapy delivery methods including HFNC, bag and mask, and trach collar Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation Skilled in troubleshooting high pressure ventilator alarms Additional Information Perform airway management procedures including nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning Collect sputum specimens and provide tracheostomy care and management Administer nebulizer treatments via hand held, T-piece, and trach collar methods Manage oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation for critically ill adult patients RTO typically limited to no more than 2 weeks during the assignment, with expectation to make up time
