Description:
GK Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine repair and general maintenance of the Holiday Village Mall facilities, grounds, and equipment. Job Summary Performs skilled maintenance, repair, and minor construction work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet GK Real Estate standards. Trains less-skilled employees in facilities maintenance trades. Assists Mall management in planning work, identifying maintenance needs, and in project management. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety and keys/security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (Replace light bulbs and ballasts, outlets, switches, circuit breaker panels etc.) Maintain and repair plumbing components including but not limited to sinks, faucets, toilets, and drain rodding. Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces. Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers. Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts and other building systems. Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide and checking bait stations. Conduct general exterior upkeep procedures such as debris & litter clean up, landscaping, snow removal, lot striping and other tasks as assigned. Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Document work performance and materials procurement as directed. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. while performing job duties. Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials.
Requirements:
Previous working experience as a Maintenance Technician for 3 year(s) or more preferred. High school diploma Any additional relevant certification will be considered an advantage (HVAC, CMRP, etc.) Advanced understanding of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and other systems In depth knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Applicable knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices Manual dexterity and attention to detail Problem solving aptitude. Must be able to prioritize workload and resolve issues. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter. Valid Montana Driver License with a clean driving record
