1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with 1+ years of experience for an outpatient role in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting. Details Critical Access Hospital offering outpatient and inpatient services, including home visits with a swing bed program in a rural community Work collaboratively with providers and care teams across acute, outpatient, and/or long-term care settings Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours (8:00 AM-6:30 PM) with a possible option for 5x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:00 PM) Weekend coverage required every third weekend No on-call requirements No floating to sister facilities required Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA required BLS certification required License required if applicable First-time travelers accepted if they have at least 2 years of experience Additional Information Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence Accepts local candidates Travel pairs accepted and can work the same shift No RTO restrictions May accommodate block scheduling

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
