We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel contract assignment in Asheville, NC . The Respiratory Services team supports a wide range of patients across adult and pediatric/neonatal service lines. The role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with a variety of respiratory equipment and clinical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across critical care units and hospital floors. Assess patients and develop appropriate respiratory therapy interventions. Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical and non-invasive ventilation. Administer oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments as ordered. Operate and monitor adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory equipment as appropriate. Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in critical care situations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Provide respiratory support for patients across various age groups and acuity levels. Accurately document patient care and respiratory interventions in the electronic medical record. Float to critical care units and other hospital floors as required.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Respiratory Therapist experience Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification Current PALS certification Strong critical care and respiratory therapy skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule & Weekend Requirements:
Night Shift:
6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Varying weekends Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Floating may be required across critical care units and hospital floors.
