Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current state Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility) Strong clinical skills in acute and critical care settings Knowledge of ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, and airway care BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS and PALS preferred Previous experience in a hospital or similar acute care facility
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive respiratory therapy assessments and interventions Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient care Monitor, document, and evaluate patient responses to respiratory therapy Maintain cleanliness and readiness of respiratory equipment Educate patients and family members on respiratory care techniques
