Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting pediatric respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment. We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment providing high-quality respiratory therapy to pediatric patients. This night shift opportunity allows you to make a significant impact during critical hours while working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
Schedule:
13-week contract assignment
Nights:
3 shifts per week, 12.5 hours each (19:00-07:30)
Qualifications:
Active credential as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Minimum of one year recent experience in pediatric respiratory therapy strongly preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including oxygen therapy, airway management, ventilator support, and aerosolized medication administration Accurately assess, monitor, and document patient condition and therapy outcomes Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to tailor care based on evolving patient needs Participate in emergency interventions and respond promptly to call-back or on-call situations as scheduled Educate patients and families on respiratory treatment plans, equipment use, and self-care techniques
