Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Take the next step in your respiratory therapy career with a contract opportunity in a collaborative, high-acuity hospital environment. This role is ideal for an experienced Respiratory Therapist, bringing expertise in both critical and progressive care settings. You'll work within a well-supported respiratory care team, delivering specialized care to adult and NICU patients using advanced technology and evidence-based practices.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position May include variable shifts and require on-site flexibility Must be willing and able to float between multiple facilities within the regional network as needed
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Valid North Carolina licensure required Minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience National certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
(for Resource Team as applicable) Strong critical care skills, including experience in CVICU, NICU, ED, and progressive care environments Proficiency in all floor therapies
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including adult and NICU patients (no pediatric care required) Utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, and bubble CPAP Adapt to patient needs across multiple hospital settings, floating as needed per region demands Ensure accurate electronic documentation using
EPIC EMR
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams while upholding a culture rooted in teamwork and shared values Maintain safety and best practices during mid-shift floats (compensated for travel between facilities)
