Job Description

Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility located about 45 mins from Hendersonville, NC in the Southwestern part of NC near the Blue Ridge foothills, has a need for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team. This is a Night shift position working 7p-7a, with every other weekend rotation. They are offering a $7,500 sign on bonus! Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer;, EKGs, and tobacco-cessation education as ordered. Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment. Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions. Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices. Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources. Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness. Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment. Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Participates in performance improvement and required education.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
License :
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of North Carolina.
Certifications :
BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
