Full Job Description Role:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) provides specialized respiratory care, acting as a key member of the healthcare team with a focus on patient-centered services and autonomy in practice. Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced respiratory procedures, such as ABGs, bronchial hygiene, ventilator management, airway management, and emergency interventions like intubations and code blue responses. They prioritize patient needs, ensure timely care delivery, and advocate for patients by integrating education into care plans. The role requires evaluating patient conditions, administering therapies, and operating in critical and emergent situations while practicing according to state standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Associates Degree required; Bachelors preferred. Current RCP licensure in the appropriate state. BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred. Ability to operate independently, demonstrate critical thinking, and adapt to changing acuity levels. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.

Key Duties:

Deliver safe, continuous quality respiratory care across various settings. Perform intubations, blood gas analysis, and critical care procedures. Support patients and families through education and compassionate care. Ensure adherence to protocols for ventilator and airway management.
