A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with RRT or CRT certification and both NICU and adult ICU experience for a 13-week acute care assignment. Details Acute care setting at a Level 2 trauma center Respiratory Therapy unit with adult ICU and NICU patient populations 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule or straight nights Every other weekend and holiday coverage required No on-call requirements Uses
EPIC EMR
Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required RRT or CRT certification through NBRC Active BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required PALS and NRP certification preferred NICU and adult ICU experience required ND license required if applicable Additional Information Provide respiratory care across NICU, PICU, and ICU settings All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility Gray scrub color required Candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility are not accepted Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
