A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

About us Sleep Wellness Center is an independent, privately-owned sleep center that was established in 1994 as Winmar Diagnostics, Inc. We have pioneered and set the standard for sleep diagnostic services and DME serivice in the region. Our goal is help our patients overcome sleep issues to get a peaceful night's rest so they can lead a happier, healthier life.
Responsibilities:
1. This position provides direct patient care in accordance with state practice laws following company established policies and protocols and infection control processes.
This includes:
  • Delivery and set up of equipment
  • Patient Education and documentation
  • Assessment and care planning
  • Equipment trouble shooting 2.
Collaborates with other care providers for coordination of patient care. 3. Demonstrates proficiency in downloading clinical data from multiple diagnostic devices in order to assist in the management of that patient. 4. Effectively interacts with physicians when obtaining orders, communicating patient data, and seeking referrals.
Requirements:
Education/Experience :
North Dakota CRT or RRT license.
  • Technical Skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn the operation and troubleshooting procedures for a wide variety of home medical equipment.
  • Computer Competencies
  • Ability to meet or exceed Winmar's core computer competencies. Proven skill with word processing software, the general operating system for orders and related functions, and general office equipment.
  • Other Qualifications/certificates/license
  • RRT, CRT
    required. Ability to problem solve, prioritize assignments, work independently, and meet deadlines. Current and unencumbered driver's license
  • Behavioral Competencies a) Demonstrates an ability to function successfully in a team environment b) Ability to problem-solve and prioritize assignments, work independently, and meet deadlines c) Exhibits courteous, respectful treatment of internal and external customers including the ability to calm a dissatisfied customer
