REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
(RRT) - NICU Grand Forks, ND 58206 NICU / Neonatal Respiratory Care 13-Week Contract | Possible Extension Straight Nights | 12-Hour Shifts 36
Hours/Week Weekly Gross:
$2,850 - Travel Candidate Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide specialized respiratory care to neonatal and critically ill patients in the NICU . The RRT will perform patient assessments, provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments, assist physicians with procedures, educate patients and families, and provide high-quality respiratory care based on established clinical guidelines. Key Responsibilities Perform and document comprehensive respiratory evaluations and patient assessments. Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments and assist physicians with respiratory procedures. Monitor patients closely and identify significant changes in respiratory or clinical condition. Take appropriate action and promptly communicate changes to physicians, nurses, and other caregivers. Provide patient and family education , including respiratory care instructions and support. Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action according to established procedures. Complete accurate and timely documentation, including EMR documentation, order entry, medication charting, and patient safety reports . Process patient charges and run/verify reports as required. Disassemble, clean, assemble, and maintain respiratory equipment according to department procedures. Perform preventative maintenance and properly identify/tag equipment requiring repair, safety checks, or maintenance. Coordinate with the appropriate department for equipment repair and maintenance. Provide respiratory care during the transport of infants to and from referral healthcare systems . Provide high-quality critical care during neonatal transport in accordance with established patient-care guidelines. Maintain compliance with infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies. Perform other respiratory therapy duties as assigned to meet departmental and organizational needs. Required Certifications & Licensure Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapist License Minnesota Respiratory Therapist license may be required if applicable
AHA BLS AHA ACLS AHA PALS NRP
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Valid Driver's License (DL)
