A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Active registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Detailed knowledge of respiratory care procedures, protocols, and technology Strong critical thinking and communication abilities Previous acute care or hospital experience preferredResponsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to patients in acute and subacute settings Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied teams to develop patient-centered care plans Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, ventilators, and oxygen therapy Conduct patient assessments, interpret diagnostics, and adapt therapy plans as needed Educate patients and families on respiratory health and post-discharge careBenefits and Travel Perks:
