Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current state respiratory care practitioner license (or eligibility) Previous acute care or hospital experience required BLS and ACLS certifications preferred Ability to quickly adapt to new clinical environments Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care treatment to patients of different ages and conditions Administer oxygen therapies, ventilator management, and airway care procedures Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and more Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response efforts Maintain meticulous documentation and patient records in accordance with facility standards
