A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

Respiratory Therapist (RT)•

Clinton, NJ Pay:

$55/hr

Location:

Clinton, NJ (Hunterdon Developmental Center)

Duration:

13-Week Contract (Extension possible)

Shifts:

10:45 PM•7:15 AM 6:45 AM•3:15 PM We are seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist with at least 1 year of respiratory care experience . Responsibilities include ventilator checks, tracheostomy care and routine trach changes, patient assessments, Cough Assist and chest physiotherapy, oxygen and suction equipment maintenance, and accompanying patients during hospital transfers when needed.

Requirements:

Active New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner License Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience Trach care experience preferred Strong clinical and prioritization skills
