Part-Time Respiratory Therapist - RWJBarnabas Health A typical day for a Part-Time Respiratory Therapist may include: Performing basic and advanced respiratory therapy procedures within the scope of respiratory patient care services.
Assessing patients and providing respiratory treatments based on physician orders and established clinical protocols.
Transcribing and implementing physician orders accurately and efficiently.
Administering oxygen therapy and monitoring patient response.
Utilizing advanced assessment skills to identify changes in patient condition and adjust care as appropriate.
Managing and monitoring patients requiring ventilator support.
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Documenting patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

To be considered for this Part-Time Respiratory Therapist opportunity:
Graduate of an NBRC-approved School of Respiratory Care.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current Jersey State Respiratory Care License.
Successful completion of all required orientation and onboarding programs.
