What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Job Functions :
The RRT will provide direct patient care services with specific emphasis on pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP devices; support requests for continued supply of durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers; assist in training on use of inhalers; set up patients with DME equipment; work closely with physicians.Skills :
RRT- Required 1 year hospital or physician office experience
- Required Computer literacy
- Required Manager is looking specifically for
NICU/PICU
experience or at least RT with 5 years or more experienceRequired Education :
CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program- Required.
