1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring 1.5+ years of experience and

PICU/NICU

experience preferred. Details Adult and pediatric patient population Float expectations include PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care, with possible additional floating based on skill set and hospital needs Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30) Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday) Uses Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP ventilator equipment EPIC charting system used Requirements RRT required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 1.5 years of experience required

PICU/NICU

experience highly preferred Active New Jersey license required (license required if applicable) Experience with EPIC charting system required Skilled in blood gas collection, ventilator initiation and management, BiPAP and high-flow therapy initiation and management Experience with code response, in-house patient transport, medication administration, and chest physiotherapy Additional Information First-time travelers accepted Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees of the health system must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to offer Responsibilities include airway management, suctioning, intubation/extubation assistance, tracheostomy care, and nebulizer treatments Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia preferred Skilled in ventilator weaning and troubleshooting high pressure alarms
