What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Hourly Pay Rate:
$60Respiratory Therapist Job Duties:
- Provide efficient evaluations to assist physician in creating or updating patient's Plan of Care.
- Independently carry out individualized Plan of Care by performing quality therapy services, including administering medication, as ordered by physician.
- Provide emergency airway management when necessary.
Respiratory Therapist Requirements:
- Current NY RT License and Registration
- CPR Certification
- EMR Competence
- State Required Medical Documentations for work in a Skilled Nursing Facility (Physical, TB Test, MMRV Vaccine Record or Titers)
- Valid Proof of Identity and Work Authorization
