Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. In this role, you will assess and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, manage oxygen and ventilator therapies, perform diagnostic testing, and respond to respiratory emergencies. You will partner closely with physicians, nurses, and an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and support continuous improvement initiatives that advance health outcomes across New Mexico's diverse communities. Responsibilities Provide respiratory care treatments and therapies to acute and chronic patients under provider orders Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust care plans as needed Administer and manage oxygen, aerosol therapies, and ventilator support Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and code teams Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and home care plans Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and maintain regulatory compliance Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing clinical education Required Skills Respiratory therapy Ventilator management Arterial blood gas analysis Pulmonary function testing Oxygen and aerosol therapy Airway management Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
