A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Respiratory Therapist Location:
Cibola, NM Job Type:
Full Time Position Highlights:
- Provide respiratory care across ICU, medical floors, ER, Radiology, CT, and Pulmonary Function Lab
- Manage mechanical ventilators and provide oxygen therapy, nebulizers, aerosols, and CPT
- Perform pulmonary function testing, including DLCO and Flow Volume Loops
- Assist with intubations, airway management, and emergency respiratory care
- Participate in CPR/Code Blue response
- Support patient transports, including ground and air transport
- Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
Requirements:
- Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from an AMA-approved program
- Successful completion of a national Respiratory Therapy credentialing exam
- RRT preferred; CRT considered with commitment to obtain RRT within 12 months
- Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- ACLS preferred
- 2+ years of post-graduate respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Critical care, pediatric, ER, or transport experience preferred Ideal candidates will have strong critical thinking skills, clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
