Mainly for Clifton Springs Nursing Home, 2 Coulter Rd, Clifton Springs NY 14432, but will work all over the eastern region to support staffing needs.

Schedule:
Flexible hours (either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts); 2 wknds out of a 6-week schedule, On-call. SUMMARY Assist the Manager of Respiratory Care in the development, growth, completion, and maintenance of respiratory clinical and technical excellence for both the Respiratory Care Department and throughout Unity Health System. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all essential functions listed for the Lead Respiratory Therapist. Possess, maintain, and deliver high clinical standards in the assessment, administration, education, and observation of respiratory therapy as ordered by Providers. Provide clinical supervision and support to Respiratory Staff in all aspects of respiratory care, functioning both as a resource leader and as a role model. Evaluate, coordinate, and facilitate current and continuing education and development of the Respiratory Therapists. Coordinate and facilitate education for other disciplines and departments as requested by department and hospital leadership. Develop and implement a continued and annual competency program, including facilitating all aspects of new employee orientation. Assist Manager with clinical content and presentation of regularly scheduled intradepartmental as well as relevant multidisciplinary meetings as requested. Assist in development and implementation of clinical care policies, procedures, and protocols. Ensure consistency in the clinical instruction, education, and application of those objectives. Coordinate the on-going evaluation, in-servicing, and purchasing of both new and existing equipment and supplies, providing input into departmental selection and function to ensure appropriate usage, inventory, and cost effectiveness. Act as a liaison to multidisciplinary teams that work on patient care protocols, order sets, pathways or any plans that include the respiratory care of patients. Actively participates and supports intradepartmental respiratory committees. Facilitate and coordinate respiratory rotations and clinical observations from multiple agencies and disciplines, including but not limited to respiratory, nursing, emergency response, exploring, and high school programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
AAS degree in health care related field Previous supervisory experience Recent acute care experience Ability to communicate effectively Demonstrate clinical excellence Licensure /
Certification Skills:
NYS License as a Respiratory Therapist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred.

PAY RANGE
$40.86•$52.88 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
