Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role providing high-quality respiratory care within a dynamic clinical setting. This contract opportunity requires a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with proven expertise in critical care environments, including experience supporting neonatal intensive care and proficiency with advanced ventilator systems and external patient transports.
Schedule:
Night shifts Every other weekend required 36 hours per week over a 13-week period
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Recent experience in critical care, including NICU Proficiency with V60 BiPAP, 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators, and EPIC Comfortable participating in external patient transports Current BLS certification (Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal) Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and respiratory therapy modalities Experience with Soarian, MAK, McKesson, and electronic documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Administer comprehensive respiratory therapies as prescribed, tailoring treatment to both adult and pediatric populations Perform advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP therapy, and secretion mobilization techniques Conduct diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function screenings, EKGs, pulse oximetry, and arterial blood gas analysis Ensure oxygen tank safety, execute medication delivery, and maintain compliance with physician orders Accurately record, report, and manage healthcare data using hospital systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and assist during departmental in-services Participate in fit testing and employee health activities Uphold department delivery standards and hospital protocols, maintaining meticulous records and adherence to quality control procedures
